“Holistic” Nihilism (Or the new all encompassing concept of Nihilism)
Since my latest piece as well as some thoughts I find it important to publish my ideas about nihilism. I find it unnecessary to differentiate between different kinds and subcategories of nihilism as if it were a pick and choose method. Nihilism is nothing more but the rational idea of there being no inherrent objective non-misguided purpose to an individual’s life. This means that death makes all actions useless and therefore any kind of biological purpose is destroyed. Subjective purpose, as previously discussed, is a term that cannot meaningfully exist as it is always an interpretation that leads ultimately back to drug-related behaviour. This drug-related behaviour then leads back to biological means of survival which, as just discussed, become pointless, as death is inevitable.
The current issue I have with all side-and subcategories is that they, per means of following the rational conclusion of nihilism, which is nothing more than the ultimate material truth — and thus, as everyone with a basic understanding of natural sciences knows, the only truth of our existence, one must arrive at the conclusion that nihilism MUST per default be all encompasing. That means moral, individual and existential. In relation to the side- categories: it makes no sense for the realization that true objective and eternal purpose does not exist, to then follow a specific philosophical dogma on HOW to live. The conclusion yould logically follow that since there is no right or wrong, there shouldn’t be any kind of attempt at such concepts and means of life. True nihilism – or as here specified holistic nihilism– automatically concludes that any attempt of rendering or influencing behaviour is going against the very argument nihilism makes in the first place. Nihilsim is not a way of life, it is not a religion, not even a philosophy. It is a thought. It’s a rational concept about the meaning of life. That is it. Nihilism should not guide or influence any decisions. If one wishes to work 16 hours a day and climb to the top of the financial ladder, that is just as a meaningful way of life as somebody smoking crack and watching cartoons all day. Which one makes one happier is ultimately up to the person. Surely, many of ou biological and evolutionary needs would lead us to pursue the first rather than the latter. However, the concept is still the same. Both of these paths are ultimately just as devoid of objective and eternal meaning as can be, with the only possible exception being a phyiscal meaning which in the end does not discriminate against life and non-life and even if it did would end up pointless anyways, since life is limited. In the end Nihilism is not in the slightest correlated to any type of emotion, behaviour, or subjective goal driven behaviour. It simply states that every action one takes is ultimately pointless, because it is. The subjective emotional experience of a good and a bad time are irrelevant to nihilism as a concept and striving for good just as striving for bad emotion is a subjective idea, ultimately not a guide of nihilism in the slightest. Embracing the absurdity of this existence isn’t THE product of nihilism either. All of these behaviours are choices one makes based on the failure to understand what nihilism means in the first place. All of these behaviours go on to prove the point that nihilism exists even in the fear of the disturbed human mind, which operates on purpose and purpose only. Nihlism will always prevail. That is, unless there is a God, which seems to be fairly unlikely. Materialism will ALWAYS lead to nihilism and nihilism is the end of this journey. Every step after that is by the very definition of nihilism a logical fallacy. The point of this text is not to make anybody unsure on how to make decisions from now on. It is simply here to illustrate that following any kind of ideology is in the end illogical once somebody has accepted nihilism. In general most of us are going to abide by ethic principles because we are social animals that rely on the gooddoing of others as well as the lack of violating commonly agreed upon ethical principles, in order to exist functionally. We ultimately like living a happy and fulfilled life and that is not a choice anybody makes. That is us acting upon our instincts and emotional-drug related- behavioru circiles, which we have no control over. We are machines of the flesh interacting with the physical environment that are controlled by processes we can never outsmart. The way we live now and how we are going to live in the future is never a conscious decision. It is therefore a bit laughable, in my personal cheeky opinion, to act as if one had overcome nihilism and it’s father materialism when that is simply not the case. Nobody makes the decisions for their own life. Every philosophy in the world is there to in some capacity insure survival-related-drug-processes will be in place. To act as is the conscious awareness of these things make it somehow impossible to live your life as previously are ridiculous and baseless. Nihilism, once perfectly understood, will have no other influence on the individual other than increased self awareness. That is it.
